4GB DDR2 memory or just 2GB DDR3?

Guy I have the intention of going with 4GB of memory for a new video editing system, but should I just get 2GB of DDR3 2000 instead and would that be about the same if not faster then 4GB of DDR2 1200?

You should go with 4 gigs of RAM for video editing. I would go with DDR2, there wont be any noticeable difference with DDR3. When i use premiere pro it easily uses 3.8 gigs so 2 won't be enough.

Yeah definitely go with 4GB DDR2 because the difference between DDR2 and DDR3 isnt much and also more RAM is better
