I have it and I have it overclocked to 4GHz. I have an Asus rampage formula x48 motherboard with 2 x 2GB Geil 8500 (1066MHz) RAM. I am running at 1:1 ratio.

I set the FSB 443
Vcore to 1.218v
Northbridge lowest voltage
Southbridge lowest voltage
RAM to 1064 at 2v

memory timings auto detect 5-5-5-15 2T

Everything else on Auto.

With this board you can also select CPU level up and select crazy which automatically puts the cpu to 3.52GHz then you can select Overclock from cpu level and all you have to do is raise the FSB to 443 and change the ram to 1064.

You must be aware that your 8400 might not be as overclockable as mine, all chips have slight variations. You must also consider what cooler and case to use. I use a Tuniq Tower 120 and an Antec 1200.

Hope that helps

Your best bet is to research boards that can do 445FSB at least. You should find boards on these chipsets and read up on them:
Intel - X48, P45, X38
Nvidia - 750i, 780i, 790i

Motherboards like Greenbrucelee's Asus Rampage Formula is extremely nice and shouldn't be a problem to OC an E8400 to 4ghz at all. They are just a bit expensive.

On my own setup, Asus P5N-D, I had no problems getting my E8400 to 4ghz.

I have a question about the P5Q Pro, actually.

If I OC via "AI Tweaker" in the bios, do I need to do anything special? All I set was FSB to 400, and I got my E8400 to 3.6GHz. I didn't change any ratios, or VCores, or anything. Other than the FSB, everything was set to Auto.

Is this ok, or is it better for me to manually change some other settings? If I need to change anything, what kind of numbers do I need?

My OC to 3.6GHz was very stable, but my only concern was that the temps rose rather significantly.
Stock: 31C idle; 37C load
OC (with auto settings): 43C idle; 48-50C load
