Hi
I installed my new build but now I remember that I forgot to wipe out the pre-applied paste on the intel heatsink before applygin my purchased MX2 thermal paste.
So now basically, there are both of them between the cpu and the heatsink... is it REALLY dangerous for the cpu ?
Im worried about this so I dont want to turn it on before making sure.
If you haven't booted yet or anything, go ahead and wipe off all of the thermal paste from the processor and the heatsink with some isopropal or rubbing alchohol. Then re-apply and your good to go.

While it probably won't cause it to instantly fry or anything, you should definetly remove the heatsink, clean your heatsink and cpu, start all over.
Too much thermal paste is not a good thing.
The stock paste that comes on the heatsink is also a different type of paste than what you applied, which IMHO could cause either one of the 2 types you have mixed not flow out and properly cover the surfaces of the CPU and bottom of the heatsink.
You are asking for heat troubles if you don't start all over.
