Hi, I currently have 2GB of Corsair RAM (1066), and am planning on overclocking my pc. I am also thinking about about getting another 2GB of RAM.

I hear that Crucial Ballixstic is a good choice for overclocking, but am wondering if I would be better off sticking with the manufacturer i already have in the pc?

Nice one

ok cheers, i guess ideally I would get one of those.

I've had a look about though, and its all a bit out of my price range, as i'm in the process of buying a graphics card, power supply and a few other things.

Ideally I would get a 1GB of Corsair 1066, but they are only sold in 2GB. I have found a 1GB Crucial Ballistix for 20 pound which I can afford.

I guess the chances are it will be ok with two different manufacturers when overclocking? Anyone had problems with this or think it probably will be an issue?

They seem to have the same timing latencies as far as i can figure

5-5-5-15-2T, and 5-5-5-15 (is that the same just reported differently?)

but Crucial just says 2.0v whereas Corsair says tested at 2.1v...which doesn't really mean much to me.

Thanks for any help

You may keep in mind memory can only run as fast as the slowest stick.
Adding more memory usually gives little or no net gains in real world apps.
You would be better served improve your system in another area.(ie..graphics, CPU, ect...)
