hey guys i just made my new build and i was wonder if my 3dmark06 score was a little low. i scored
SM2.0 SCORE 4945
HDR/SM3.0 SCORE 4388
CPU SCORE 4292
TOTAL 11517

this is my setup.
intel core 2 quad q6600 @3.0ghz
msi p6n diamond
4gig of OCZ
Nvidia 9800gtx @770/1200
Lite-On Blue-ray
500gb x1
80gb x1
Window vista Premium 32-bit
22" lcd acer monitor
Logitech X-540 5.1 Speaker System

It's a bit low, but still within normal limits for 9800gtx. Did you update driver?

ya i have the latest driver 174.74. i dont no y my scores r low when both my cpu and gpu overclocked,
but i can play crysis on very high @ 1680x1050 with like 34-40fps

i think that your score is low. i scored 11194 with my phenom 9500 @ 2.5ghz and hd 3870 @ 800 mhz. as far as i know, the q6600 should be kicking my phenom ass, same thing with the nvidia.

Seems too low to me....

I have a E8200 @ 3.2ghz and a 3870...my score is around 11500.

Hmm, I'm only getting 3702 with my E6300 OC'd to 2.8GHz and my 1800GTO.

I take it video card plays a big role in 3DMark score?

That score is about right. As of May 2nd I got a score of 12060

Pretty much the only thing that 3dmark will tell you is how good your graphics card and processor are. I wouldn't dwell on it too much.

Your a little low. Back the driver up a notch. The one your using is tweaked for 3Dmark Vantage, maybe its loosing some in 3Dmark06.

I tend to keep old installers so i don't have to keep re-downloading the same thing and just use these to double check my installers up to date .

Also, ATI cards tend to give good marks , doesnt mean the same going from one card amker to another, you cant compare. You need same and same, youre a little low but not that bad, like was said,driver most likely

Yeah thats really low man.... I wouldn't really worry though... everyone gets different 3dmark06 scores with the same hardware... for example I have a single 8800 GTS 640... and a core 2 duo e6420 ... And I get 12100 in 3dmark... so it doesn't really matter

ya kinda on the low side, i have same processor and vid card, 2gigs of ram and different on the rest. and stock @ 3.0ghz i got like 14500 when i oc'd the card to the evga SSC speeds i got like 15200. Somethin is up

i just installed the patch and i get about the same results.
hey braves00fan7 can u tell me ur individual scores for the 3 categories. so i can find the weak point.
