Hey i am trying to help a friend to look for the best cpu in his budget so his 560 ti does not bottleneck.
here is his mobo

http://reviews.cnet.com/motherboards/asus-m4a785-m-motherboard/4507-3049_7-33778663.html?tag=mncol;subnav

I recommended this http://www.aztekcomputers.com/HDZ940XCJ4DGIBP-AMD-2139778.html

He's said no that this is better http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&q=Phenom+II+X+4+970&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&biw=1680&bih=925&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=18117291944857333728&sa=X&ei=oyfaT-OxIObM2AX_uomtBg&ved=0CGsQ8wIwAA

I said no that one wouldn't work because that was a am3 cpu and he has a am2+ mobo and also said that his mobo supported that cpu when its clearly a am2+ mobo

I am on the intel side so I don't really get the amd cpu's

So what are your thought's on what best for the am2+ platform and would a am3 go into a am2+ socket

Thank you for your input

or this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=19-106-012&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Page=2#scrollFullInfo
