I have heard of both. And what is your rig and WC setup?

I can off the top of my head think of 10 different WC 'special' liquids marketed. You found two.

It's proven time and time again on other forums by people with degrees in thermodynamics and also have been watercooling PC's for years that distilled water and a good biocide is all you need. And it's more effective than any purchased liquid that is 95% distilled water anyway.

If your loop is quality, and not made by Thermaltake or Koolance (main ones) you only need distilled water etc.

Distilled water is $1 a gallon.

I'll give you my standard WC noob cut n paste, these places have all the info anyone ever needs for any WC questions.

I'll steer you to some more technical links, please spend a few days (DAYS) reading posts, searching, learning. Don't forget to look for your case with WC. Google your case and the word watercool or some combination of that. WC stuff is larger than you think, I know from experience. WC setups done right are awesome and almost silent.

Great place, not wayyy over the top with uber WC guys.

You could always distil your own water for even cheaper, i kettle some tubing and a bottle. If you want some uber-futuristik watercooling wait for nano-particles to reach the market. Already read they've been developed but don't remember where.

i use distilled water, water wetter from any auto supply store, and food coloring...your ratio of water to water wetter should be like 9 to 1. when you get the mixture 100% right (or as to your liking) add food coloring to achieve the desired color. its that simple, and it works very well.

PC ice is non-conductive and performs about 2-4C worse than distilled water with additives. Having said that I flooded my MB last week using distilled water and once it all dried out it was fine. There was standing coolant in the CPU socket just to give you an idea of how bad my leak was. I was gaming when the leak happened and resulted in shutting down before I found out what the problem was and may reduce pump life.

I would say stick with distilled water with additive (Swiftech HydrX Coolant) $1.99 UV green. I wouldn't use food coloring as it does clog small impingement's used is some coolers.
