I've been resaerching the AMD offerings for a while, and found a couple I like. but thier CPUs are second rate, and will stay that way for the longest build window I see for myself.

so far I haven't found much worth mentioning on the intel side. I see there was a G33 Gigabyte Ultra Drable 2, but aparently its gone.

Give me a couple of good intel microATX boards I can look at.

is there anything with PCIe 2.0 in microATX for intel?

The Asus boards look the best, but I'm a bit surprised there isn't anything better.

90+% of computer are never SLI's or crossfired, so they will never uses all the expansion slots availiable to even a microATX, much less a full ATX. lets not forget that SLI and Crossfire can happen even with microATX.

I've never filled an ATX, even back in the days when the HDD and the CD Rom each needed thier own ISA expansion slots

I can get better chipsets out of shuttle than I can get in microATX. I just don't get the reluctancy of the board makers to build decent microATX. I see it somewhat for AMD, but more so for Intel.

are there at least any plan to release any better boards in the near future?
