I am looking at possibly buying the Lian-Li PC-V1000Z.

What do you think of this case? What do you like about it? What do you dislike about it? Is there something better? Why is this so?

Dont like the wheels, look like they've been made by a metalwork class full of 12 year old's but other than that i really like it, Love the rounded edges!

A very nice case indeed i thought about one of these but went for the silverstone temjin tj07b as better for a water called setup and personally i preffer it's slightly more sexy look.

Strong design, nice attention to detail, and many technological innovations. Add ESA to it and it is nearly perfect. I'd give it a 9.5 and it is 1 of 2 chassis I am current;y evaluating for my next build.

Cheers,

Wow, thought those had inverted motherboard setups, nice though!

How do you mount a WD Velociraptor in this case?

Dont really like the idea of the wheels and dont like the SATA PCB boards but you can take them out if need be.

toucanf16: And you would take the PCB's out or mount in a 5.25 bay.

Anyone need wheels? I took mine off.

Also, I may just cut the SATA PCB board with a dremel to allow the Velociraptor installation

Why cut it with a dremel when you can just take it out?

So I can use the Velociraptor in the cut out slot and use the remaining 5 slots as designed...

Maybe chopping the PCB isn't such a great idea. I'll give it some thought!
