the other day i made my first comp build and cant get Windows Ultimate to install. It wont read a 160GB Barracuda 7200.11 SATA Internal Hard Drive. The bios reads that it is detected, have it hooked up sata and have the sata ports enabled on the BIOS. i also updated the bios from gigabyte. I don't have 2 hd so im not using Raid and its set as a IDE and Not ACHI. The mobo is a GA-MA790GP-UD4H and it seems like vista needs the drivers for the HD. I even attempted to install the firmware on the the HD, the firmware detected it, but guess what....said firmware not compatible and yes its the right firmware. I downloaded it straight from seagate. Help you be most apprec.

Are you waiting long enough for vista to install????
On my install it took maybe 5 minutes for the install to start be patient and see if it doesn't work.
