Ok so I have a huge problem with my computer.
I first turned off my computer one night after reformatting it because the ethernet port in the back of the mother board was not working for some odd reason.

So about 3 days after the reformat of windows xp pro, when i try to turn on my computer, windows would not boot.
It would always come up with a screen saying "start in safe mode" "load original config" , etc.

When I chose one of the options, windows would not boot and i would get the safe mode screen every time.

I tried reinstalling windows xp pro again and i get this error
File \i386\halaacpi.dll could not be found error code is 32768

To solve this problem I thought i needed a new hard drive so I bought a new 500G samsung Hard drive today.

At first when i tried reinstalling windows xp pro, it was working, then it said a problem occured and I should restart the proccess, so I did.

A few tries later, I get the SAME ERROR as my old hard drive so i assume it cant be the hard drive?

Thanks, i know this is a long and tideous problem to read, but your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again!
