Multi card reader, system wont boot!

just installed a multi card reader on my system it all works but my system wont boot if its connected, on boot up it does us r usual mem check etc... then it says mass storgae devices dtected (1) then freezes ? how do i stop this

Helped me to get booting computer again after then when I connected the usb multimedia card reader (VIA chipset) to internal usb conectors on motherboard.
