Before my RAM was detected fine by Windows, but:

I recently:

A) Reinstalled windows XP
B) Flashed the BIOS to the latest version which is 2403 for the P5W DH.

Now, my 4GB is no longer detected inside windows.

- The BIOS sees the ram fine.
- Inside Windows Xp it only sees 2GB RAM.
- Before I reinstalled windows, it was able to see all 4 properly.
- After reinstalling, however, it no longer saw the 4.

Are there any solutions for this?

Apologies if this has been asked before, I simply could not find anything specific to my problem. I am already aware of the various "more than 2 GB issues" associated with windows XP 32bit. The fact is that before it definitely saw 3+GB RAM, and now it doesn't.

If it helps, the RAM is 4x1GB sticks of Corsair DDR2.

I'm also running a 7950 GX2 as the video card.

the most you see is 3.5ghz, the gx2 = 1gb - 2.5ghz max

Ok, that's all fine and dandy and I understand all that.

What you need to understand is that:

A) Before it saw ~3.
B) Right now it sees exactly 2GB.

Therefore there's still a missing piece to the pie.

Do you have memory remapping enabled in bios?

Yeah I do.

- BIOS sees the 4GB RAM.
- Windows sees exactly 2.0

Before it definitely saw more than 2.0 (I think it was 3.5) -- in any case, it SHOULD see more than 2.0 RAM.

Stop playing with that you will go Blind!

Just as Hester said. Memory remapping in the BIOS after you will see 3 gig

People, read the post body and not just the title.

OP, I don't see a 2403 bios listed on the Asus website for the P5W DH Deluxe, the latest bios update is version 2704, issued 24 Mar 08. Try this, it may resolve the issue.
