I am looking to upgrade my rig. So far I have decided on the following.

E8400 3.0

Evga 8800gts 512mb pci-e 2.0

I would like the ability to oc my cpu, but don't need all the bells and whistles that the highend motherboards have. Could anyone recommend a board?

P35 DS3L/R or an X38. Aprice range would help us recommend a board aswell as how many HDs you have/need and if you plan to RAID or SLI.

$150 - $250

Raid- No

2 Sata Harddrives
Sli would be nice, but certainly not a must.

I saw that board, but it doesn't support pci-e 2.0

2.0 is backwards compatible so don't worry about that. DS3L is a great board, X38s also are great overclockers.

Avoid the 780i like the Black Death.

@ ingame

The best of the boards you are looking at is the GIGABYTE GA-X48-DS4.

Gigabyte has been working hard to take the #1 seat in motherboard quality.

You can get a Maximus Formula from Asus, its a pretty nice board.

Don't I loose bandwidth without plug this card into a pci-e 2.0 slot?

^No. Current graphics cards don't come close to using up PCIe 1.1 bandwidth.

PS: Check out the DS3L OCing guide if getting a DS3L.

Thank you!!! You just saved me $150.

Do you have a link to the guide. Or can I just do a search on Toms.
