My system:Motherboard MSI K9A2 Platinum with the latest official Bios
CPU:AMD Phenom 9950 with original Clocks
Video Cards:2 HD3870 (crossfire mode) Overclocked both from 777 core speed to 850 and the Memory from 1126 to 1224
Cpu Cooler:scythe Ninja 2
PSU:630W.
OS:Windows Xp Proffesional SP3
And here it is my problem.When i overclock the cpu from the bios and the OS loads i run some programs like Everest and orthos to test if my system is stable during the tests the pc reboots.I check if the cpu was overheated but it was 29-32c.I cant think what makes it to restart.My thought goes if the PSU is powerful enough
i will appreciate if anyone could help me.

What kind of PSU?

Try removing one video card (reduces PSU load), then load test the CPU. If it then runs, your PSU is failing under load and causes the reboot.

Ok i will remove the second video card.the motherboards needs also extra power supply so should i remove that also??

no. only remove one video card and run the test again, if it fails maybe the PSU is failing under load. or maybe the processor cant support those settings because they are a bit high. try little by little

and it will be good to know what kind of PSU you have and speed you try to achieve by OC

Its AXP the psu.i dont think that it is something special.i tried to increase the Fsb from 200 mhz to 220 with no touch of the multiplier.I will remove right now the second graphic card and i will let you know about the results

If you have a 9850BE, you can just move the CPU multi up and not worry about FSB, and memory dividers. Just make sure you add cpu voltage. This is the better way to oc, because you do not have to worry about voltages to the nb, fsb, or memory.
