I purchased this galaxy metal gear box (aka Taurus Lan). some crazy company. Anyways i set the thing up and loaded all my music using RAID0 and the enclosure has a 2x 500GB WD HDD. Everything was working fine until i turned it off and turned it on. This apparently resetted all my settings. The options it gives me is to just format the drives. i dont feel comfortable to just wipe everything and start over. I do have backups of other things but then i dont have any backup of certain items. i am unsure if i can find someone with a computer that supports SATA. got any ideas how to rebuild the RAID... i should of made a backup of the configs but i doubt that would have saved my data.

If all the data on the disks is still fine, you should be able to recover all files on the broken RAID-volume. This can be done with commercial Windows utilities, or using a free linux livecd. The windows utilities simulate a RAID of your two disks, in Linux you just create a RAID0 with the right parameters, without writing to the drives.
