I have the BFG 8800 GT OC2 (675MHz/ 1674MHz /1950MHz), i'm not planning to try further on the OC part and the temp never goes beyond the 80c while playing. But the noise is KILLING me (and i got some artifacts in The Witcher after 4 hours of playing) !
So, after reading reviews and reviews, see pictures and read complains, i'm between the
Accelero S1 r2 VS HR-03 gt. (I have already a spare noctua 120mm i plan to use).
So far, i think both deliver more less the same in "performance", and even when Thermalright made a good job with my CPU, the price for it is "too much". Well... considering the Accelero has more les the same performance, but half the price!
Now, I know i need to get some glue for the Accelero Memory Heat Sinks (people say they fall), is there anything else i should consider? Should i change my mind and go for HR-03 gt?
Because the glue and Accelero cost almost the same than the HR
Any comments would be appreciated!

EDIT: Almost forgot, the Accelero's Web Site says "The card doesn't need voltage regulator heat sinks to operate. We tested that the card just ran flawlessly without voltage regulator heat sinks." I guess this doesnt apply to me, since the card is already OC, right? so, i guess i need to buy also more HS for the Voltage regulators (right side of the card). damn...is going to cost the same as the HR!! i guess that was the whole idea!

Seems to do a pretty good job. Of course the HR-03 gt would as well, but as you point out it alot more expensive.
As for the issue with the heat sinks, I don't think its an issue. I have the same cooler and I had no problems with the sinks. Just clean off your old ram really well and you won't have an issue.
I already checked that review, it was great, but honestly, i didnt read all the pages until you post it! I discard the use of the S1 because of the need for HS for the VR. To me, just 15 dollars different is not an issue if i'm getting more. So i guess i will end up with the HR-03gt.
vini,
In that particular article I don't recall them mentioning the need for a VR HS - but you can get the S1 for around $24 and the HR-03gt around $54 -
a HS shouldn't cost you $15.00.
But either way - you'll be happy. Both are great coolers.
Well, the guy that created the review used some spare HS for the VR HS (i know, doesnt probes anything) but later on one of the pages, some guy says that if you plan to OC over the 700mhz, you will need the HS.
I'm 675 and i dont know if 25mhz is a big difference or not, but i dont want to take chances!
In directCanada.com i can get the HR for 46 and the S1rev2+hs for 26+15=41 almost nothing!
