I need some advice im going to be doing a upgrade to a whole new system and will be the first time ive owned a SATA drive

Looking at ether:
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST31000528AS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB $139 AUS$

Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB $170 AUS$

The drive will be used as a Primary drive i currenty have 2 Seagate IDE HDD
Curently using
40GB 7200.7 IDE for OS
320GB 7200.10 IDE for storage Never given me any issues Never owned a WD but im open for a change

Despite what my signature says, I suggest you go for the Western Digital. The general sentiment around this forum (currently) is that WD drives as much more reliable than their Seagate counterparts. Definitely worth the increased price IMO.
