Last December Viacom announced it was buying KOVR (Sacramento CBS
station) and it stated it was pending approval. I was checking the
two different parent companies websites to see how that transaction
was processing, and Viacom now lists KOVR as an O&O CBS station while
the old parent company has nothing on their website listing KOVR as
being theirs anymore.
How long is the process for Directv to put this station as one of the
locations available for that national feed in their HD package? I
tried to get an answer from Directv on the phone, but they insist it
has to be the 45 day waiver process asking permission from KOVR.

I went searching the Sacramento Bee's website to see if the transition
was approved, and from that search the newspaper reported on April
30th, 2005 Viacom completed the deal to take over the station, and
that approval was given. So KOVR is definitely owned and operated by
Viacom now.
Hmmm.... I must make a plan of attack now to get this issue resolved.
