OC issues with Asus Maximus Formula SE

Looking for ideas here....basically what happens is I go into Bios and attempt to use the OC ability of the Asus Maximus Formula SE MB. I make my changes and then save them....instantly the box powers off and the only way I am able to get it back is to use the CMOS reset button on the back. What could I be doing wrong? My system specs are:

Asus Maximus Formula Special Edition with bios version 1204
1000 Watt PS
4 Gigs DDR2 8000 tracer ram
2 ATI 3870's in CrossFire
Raptor 150 gig drive
WD 500 gig drive
SB X-Fi Fatality
Intel Quad Core Q6600
