I have a CD that isn't detected by any computer that I have. I always get a message that says "media isn't detected". I tried 4 computers (XP, 98SE, Linux) but nothing. The CD has photos on it and it did work at one time. How do I get the files off?

Hmmm... would you know what drives you used in trying to read the CD? AFAIK the best ones are LG- or Samsung-branded. If those photos are really really important, I suggest you contact a data recovery service.

^ I second that; if gentle cleaning with soap and water doesn't help you have no other choice but to contact a data recovery service...
