Hello,

I have a 500 GB SATA HDD on my current computer and I was wondering if I could transfer that hard drive so I don't have to redo everything on it. I am asking this cause some ppl say that you can't transfer HDDs to new hardware and some say they can so...im confused.

Only to motherboards with similar chipsets e.g. P35 to P45
But you would still have to uninstall every driver cleanly then install fresh new drivers.

Best is to back up all your personal data and start with a clean install with new hardwares to avoid the hassle described above.
