No, the onboard is automatically disabled. Why not run the 2 monitors on that 8800? Is there any reason not to?

You can, there should be 2 outputs on the back.  Plug in and set it up in control panel, you should be set.  We did that with an old pc at my church where we were doing multimedia, etc.
