Modding ac ati silencer 5 rev 2

here what i am trying to do......upgraded my trusty X800GTO AGP with a HD3850 PCIe.....and i kept the AC ATI Silencer 5 Rev 2

im thinking of using motherboard standoffs to secure the cooler to the card........i wanna know what u guys think.....worth it or not worth it? i just hate the stock cooler

Can anyone recommend a cooler for the HD3850 that mimics the ATI Silencer 5?? I hate the new design of aftermarket coolers since they exhaust hot air inside the case.
