WD black 640 vs 1tb

Are there any differences in speeds regarding the WD black 640 vs the WD black 1tb drives? Or is there anything else different between these two drives besides the space?

AFAIK it's just the capacity and running temps that are different (the 1TB supposedly runs warmer).

They both use 320 GB platters. And because there's more mass on the 1 TB drive spindle, I guess the 1 TB drive has to work a little harder, so the drive runs a little warmer.

I have found what I regard as a good compromise on my biggest box. I teamed a WD 640 GB Black for the OS with a couple WD 1 TB Greens for storage.

thanks, sounds good. I'm not too worried about heat, which probably shouldn't be too bad anyways.
