Fry's had them for $250, with a $35 dollar rebate, so I just grabbed one.
Removed all the old x1950Pro ATI Catalyst/Drivers, swapped cards, booted and reinstalled the new drivers, took all of about 10 minutes, good to go.
Wow and WOW is all I can say, what a change from my old tired x1950Pro.
Good bye ATI, it was fun while it lasted.
Guess my next step is to retire the old Lan Party and 4600 X2 for an Intel Quad Core. :D

Mwaha, have fun.

Great card, great price. Probably could've got it a couple bucks cheaper online, but this is instant gratification, and in your hands. I'd have done the same thing. :)

Right now $250 is the best price.
It's $10 more online at Frys.com, but you still get the rebate.

They had a 1 gig version of the 8800GT there, for like $279 after a $20 rebate. People were grabbing that thing up. The sales people keep handing a box to customers, proclaiming "This is the hot one, it has 1 gig of memory!", and I saw 3 people leave with one while I was standing there. All the while the overclocked 8800 G92 right next to it could be had for ~$215.
The 1 gig marketing ploy is working wonders.
