MSN MN-520 Wireless Incompatibility
Last response: in Wireless Networking
I want to install this adapter on my Dell Inspiron 1100, but the setup/utility disk says there are incompatibility issues & links me to a MSN update EXCEPT it no longer exists (nor the product on the MSN site). Any help? Do I only need the driver update, or all?

While it pains me to dump workable gear, it is worth considering that your wireless card is an old 11b device -- slower than current standards and won't support WPA encryption.
Right now you can buy a brand new card for under $30 and I have recently seen several current wireless adapters priced at a couple of bucks secondhand.
