For a $ 1200 new system for video edit and some 2D graphics
What card should I go for under $150 ?

The system will not be OC'ed and hardly any games [sorry..]

ati do better video / color reproduction, but do more research on 3650, i havent use it.

Hmm $150 actually seems to be the barrier. Under $150 the ATI cards pull ahead and over $150 the Nvidia cards pull ahead. (minus that little 8800GS, it's a good buy for the money)

But the ATI's do tend to maintain higher image quality.
