Yes, I use an Intel Quad. Sometimes its a little overclocked, sometimes a bit underclocked. Yet, its always nice and the virtualiztion is sick. And?
Well, depending on what you plan to do with them (overclockng wise), you may want the CAS 4 PC6400 as opposed to the CAS 5 PC8500. I chose the later and am very satisified with the 4x2GB sticks I've received. They were a bit more expensive when I got mine but even then I thought they were a good deal.

They didn't overclock as well as the OCZ Reapers I'm using now. So, I gave 4GB to my wife and 4GB to my stepdad. I'd say given the Reapers great performance (based on my own and the reviews I've read) you'd do well with them.

Its a good price, IMO. In fact, its the same as NewEgg's non-rebate price.

I can't tell you what his experience was, but I've had mine over 1100Mhz. If you know that's not good enough for your overclocking goals then perhaps the Reapers are not for you. However, there's nothing in these reviews that would lead me to believe the G.Skill is any better... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820231166

Well, if that's the case you don't need any of these expensive memory modules. However, even if you overclock your CPU you'll be overclocking your memory. ...but if you don't plan to overclock your CPU either then you can just get some Value Ram and save some money.
I think we all, mistakenly sometimes, infer that when people ask about RAM they want to know about what's good in support of their overclocking efforts. Its not an assumption we should make.
