Hi,
I've just added in a 4th sata hard drive (wd500) to my stiker extreme, and all of a sudden I'm having huge performance problems, I actually sent the previous one back for the same reasons assuming it was faulty, but clearly 2 drives from different sellers cannot both be faulty.

Essentially when copying large amounts of data (hundreds of gb) between one drive and another, everything seems to slow down, which is not something that happened before the drive was inserted.

Browsing the internet causes firefox to freze momentairly, typing into a window causes the window to freeze before then unfreezing 10 seconds later, changing windows, even trying to click on a window to change.

Does anybody know what could be causing this?

Everything seems fine when I remove the drive.
As I say it is 1 of 4 drives which uses up 1 of 6 slots on this motherboard.
Power supply is antec truepower trio 650w.
