i have a floppy drive on my comp but that doesn't really help cause it won't post. I guess i screwed up my bios flash. I tried using windows installer and messed it up bad. any one know what to do now? is the board toast or can i get the correct bios back on it somehow? i'm a big noob so detailed instructions would be greatly appreciated.

The BIOS chip should be replaceable. You'll need to order a new BIOS chip from the manufacturer of your MB; such a chip may also be available from an independent online BIOS vendor (do a search for something like "replacement BIOS chip" ).
