More Information

I really want a new lcd monitor. Currently I'm using a ViewSonic X922 (http://www.viewsonic.com/products/ [...] ies/vx922/). I like it a lot, but I want something bigger. I'm specifically looking at around 24 inches, I could go a little smaller or bigger, depending on price and quality, but I  would like to hook up my Wii, and television(satellite), etc to it. I've been looking at the Gateway FHD2400 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6824113012), and so far I like it a lot. It has plenty of input connections for all my stuff. My price range is about ~$500. So what do you guys think would be a good monitor. Also, would my system be able to handle (new/demanding) games at 1920 x 1200? Think I should get a bigger monitor and eventually upgrade my GPU when needed, or keep my system the way it is and save my money for something else down the road? Any and all advice is appreciated.

I have an 8800GTS-640 and a 22" LCD @ 1680x1050. In the Crysis Demo, I was averaging in the Mid 20's FPS with modest (some med and some high) settings. I don't think you'd get satisfactory performance pushing 1920x1200 with the GTS-640 in demanding games.

In my opinion, no card out today justifies the cost of upgrading from the GTS-640. I'd be looking into 22" monitors.

This is the monitor I have
