I am trying to connect DVI cable from Dell 2001FP monitor to the new Nvidia 8800GS video card in Dell Dimension 8400 and for some reason it does not work. I have tried rebooting and powering everything off but it does not work. Everything works fine through VGA cable. Help?

You may have to manually switch your monitor from analog (VGA) to digital (DVI). Check to see if your monitor has a "source" button.
 
Also check to see if you have to enable PCI-E in your BIOS. This was the answer in a similar thread in another forum.
