FSB stands for Front Side Bus. Check out this link to read up on what it does http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Front_side_bus pretty much it is the "connection" between the CPU and the northbridge on the mother board. The E4600 CPU has a 800mhz FSB which means that your mother board will support the maximum "potential" of this CPU. The biggest thing is if your mother board will support the CPU. Check on the website of the board's manufacturer to make sure that your CPU is listed on there.

Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 has an 800Hz FSB.
The important question is if your motherboard model supports it.
Go to www.cpuid.com and download the latest version of CPU-Z.
Run it and check the text on the Mainboard TAB.

Google for the CPU Support list of that motherboard model.
If you are not sure how to do this ask and we will help you further.
