Partition Fun

Hey all ...

Lets hope I can get some advice cause I need this sorted before the weekend ...


I am repairing a friends pc :


p4: 3ghz
DDR400 : 768mb
Nvidia 6800
Seagate : 160gb (sata)


He installed windows and put a partition on the drive ... the drive is split pretty much 60\100 ... the problem is that windows is running slow and all games are killer slow on the system which only happened since the partition ...


Is there a reason for this ?? ... and ... Is there a way to remove the partition without formatting or will the pc still need a fresh install to get the original performance back ...

The partition should have nothing to do with slowness, did he install all of the proper drivers after Windows was installed?

Yeah ... all drivers were installed correctly ... i was watching him do it all ... the install is perfect ... the partition done correctly ... but the pc just runs like ****... lol
