Man this is drivin me nutzo! For the 3rd time with this new PC, I got new memory, OCZ DDR2-1000, thinking I had a memory problem from G.skill memory because of memtest errors, but it turns out all memory was fine I was just using a version of Memtest that was too old!

Anyway, I've been spending hours adjusting Bios settings STILL trying to clear up freezing issues in games and 3Dmark. I decided to disable CPU Thermal throttling. Now, no matter what I do, the FSB reported by CPUID will not go over 333Mhz. Have it set to 420Mhz in Bios. Tried re-enabling CPU thermal throttling, that did nothing! I have all the other stuff off, C1E, speedstep etc. disabled. Currently have latest F8f bios. I tried loading Optimized settings, restarted and put everything back, no dice there either.

What the heck is going on here? I'm honestly about to ditch this motherboard as I'm starting to think it's faulty. :fou: :fou: :fou: :fou:

First off turn off your computer. Switch off and unplug the Power Supply.
Open up the case. Ground one of your arms to the case and with the other hand clear CMOS at the jumper by connecting both pins with the tip of a screw driver. (Two little pins to the right of the battery marked CLR_CMOS).

Second you should be using DDR800 memory with the GA-P35-DS3L.
The memory you have, what is the spec. for voltage? If it isn't 1.8 you need to adjust accordingly in BIOS.

Retry your OC
