hello all,

checkin out power supplies, wondering if this:

would be enough for a q6700, two hd 4870's when they come out, raid0? i think it will work, but should i just go with the etasis 750? i also would like to keep modular connections. any suggestions, post em!!

This is a terrible price on that PSU you selected.
Not a bad PSU, but NewEggs current price is really bad.


You can get the PCP&C 610w which is virtually identical from their website for $119 anytime. (Both made by Seasonic and based on the same platform.)

For another option.....

I would say your wanting modular cables. I did too but the cables on this power supply are very easy to maneuver and hide. You wont be disappointed. Im not.

Have you seen any power requirements on the 4870s yet? I haven't but based on current cards, the 620 should be enough. But, if it was my personal system I'd get a 750 or better just to have some headroom.

How many Cables do you think your not going to use with 2x4xxx series cards?

Thermaltake have alot of modular PSU's but none are as solid as the PSU's already suggested by others here. Personally id go for the TX750 as suggested this should easily cover your for power requirements and its solid.
