Hello
would a 350w psu be enough for a system which looks like this?

SATA 7200rpm HDD
GA-MA78GM-S2H Mobo
Geforce 8600 GTS DDR3 PCIe GRAPHICS
Athlon 64 X2 4800 CPU
PC5300 DDR2 2GB+1GB RAM
DVDRW

um
this is the specs...

# The combined power output of +5V, +3.3V, +12V1 & +12V2 shall not exceed 340W

Specification
Voltage 5V Regulation -- ±5% MinimumLoad -- 0.3A MaximumLoad -- 21A Ripple & Noise(Vp-p) -- 50 mV
Voltage 3.3V Regulation -- ±5% MinimumLoad -- 0.5A MaximumLoad -- 22A Ripple & Noise(Vp-p) -- 50 mV
Voltage 12V1 Regulation -- ±5% MinimumLoad -- 1.0A MaximumLoad -- 10A Ripple & Noise(Vp-p) -- 120 mV
Voltage 12V2 Regulation -- ±5% MinimumLoad -- 1.0A MaximumLoad -- 15A Ripple & Noise(Vp-p) -- 120 mV

Your PSU should have enough power to run your system.
Not really a high quality PSU so don't expect to much more from it than this.
You should consider upgrading to a better one especially if you plan on further upgrades.

You should be able to find one for around $100 USD.
That is not to say that all PSUs $100 USD and up are good.
I would recommend that you take a look at the PSU Sticky and the Tiered PSU Lists for starters.
This post would probably be worth checking out also.
All of these links and a few more can be found at the bottom of the PSU Sticky.

I wish I could recommend a good one to you but I am not sure what you have available in Australia.

Ok i have a look at those
Also,

My provider doesnt seem to sell much psu's for some reason. They have either all 350w's or really good ones 800w+
So one more question,
If say i get an ODIN GT 800w

Info AC INPUT 100-240 Vac 10/5A 47-63Hz
DC OUTPUT +3.3V +5V +12V1 +12V2 +12V3 +12V4 -12V +5Vsb
MAX OUTPUT CURRENT 30A 28A 18A 18A 25A 25A 0.8A 3.0A
62A
MAX COMBINED WATTAGE 180W 744W 9.6W 15W
780W 20W
TOTAL POWER 800W

Say 5 to 10 years down the track if i decide to upgrade my pc again would it still be a good psu to have in that time?

That is looking better.
I have never heard of ODIN before so I can not comment on their quality but the +12V amperage is looking a lot better.
It will defiantly treat you better than the other 350W PSU.

As for it handling 10 years of upgrades...
Probably not.
As PSUs age they loose some of their efficiency and power capacity.
Add to that 10 years of computer evolution and you will probably be missing necessary connectors also.
Besides, if you were upgrading a computer that you made in 1998 would you really want to keep the PSU now?

It should work fine for a few years worth of upgrade cycles but not for ever ;)

Sorry, your supplier dose not have any that I would recommend.
The best that they offer is the ODIN you posted earlier and it is way overpriced.

If you can, look for a different site to get some parts from.
That site dose not seem like a very good one.
