I have been trying to OC my Q6600 to 3.6 but finding a suitable voltage and comfortable temperature is giving me problems.

the processor sits idle at around 38-40c and at load it i havent seen it go above 50c. this is stock speeds with xiggy S1283 and back bracket.

I'm having trouble with my Q6700 as well. I've been trying to do 400 FSB x9 multiplier, but I haven't gotten it stable yet. If it isn't stable at 1.5v, I'll just give up (I don't need the OC badly enough to ruin my CPU over time). I 'll just stick to 3.5 GHz if it doesn't work at at 3.6. :S

Btw, I was wondering what your VID was. Mines 1.325v and that's possibly why I need so much power to get it to 3.6 GHz.

I haven't acheived a stable 3.6 or 3.4 yet with mine. VID = 1.325.

On my 680i LT SLI board, I need 1.488V (after VDroop) to get into Windows @ 3.6Ghz. But soon as I opened Prime 95 I got BSOD :)
