Hello again,
I want to see If its worth getting an over the air reciever for my hdtv. I
know they are expensive, but I have to see whats going on. I was hoping to
get a model that will accept ota and adelphia's hdtv signal. That is if its
possible. I am mostly concerned about local Redskin broadcasts come
football season. I got good advice on the cost of adelphia from kind folks
in here. But, If I can fork over the change for an OTA/Cable reciever, Ill
give it a shot. I figure a big retailer like Circuit City or Best Buy will
have one for me...right? I can try it, and of course take it back if its
not what I need. Maybe a little bit dishonest, but so are the prices of
these units :)

If I was to try this avenue, does anyone have a recommendation?

thanks group,
SL

I believe no one makes a Digital combo OTA(over the air antenna) &
Cable
QAM descrambler/receiver that works .....

The closest DTV receiver/tuner that 'may' fill the bill is.....

the $249 Samsung T-451 with both an OTA Digital receiver & QAM Cable
non-scrambled Digital receiver built in. As a T-451 owner,
I find the QAM CAble part of the T-451 as 'not too good'....
Works on QAM Channel frequencies from 80 to 125..... in Kluge mode.
but I'll guess that there are QAM frequencies from 126 thru 150 too.

Yet, the OTA portion of the T-451 is really Good USING

a Channel Master 3021 4 bay bow tie $25 antenna that covers

TV channels 7 thru 59... UHF is channels 14 thru 59.

My internal Mits tuner will pull in QAM cable HD signals from Comcast if not
scrambled...

Doesn't the LG-4200 do all of those things?

Yes it does. It's a great OTA /unscrambled QAM receiver.
