Ok, bit of a noob question here.

This is my first build and I have the above PSU. I've noticed on the back that it says 100-240V with a switch with 1 and 0. I remember flicking this switch years ago on an old IBM and blew the PC so I'm being cautious. The switch currently has 0 pressed down which aligns with the writing 240v. I'm guessing I leave it at this as I'm assuming depending on how the switch is pressed, the PSU uses that voltage. Or maybe I'm wrong. I'm just concerned cos on the other PSU's in my older PCs have the 1 pressed down (but no voltage writing on the back) so I wanna be sure.

Thanks,
S

The 1 is for on, the 0 is for off. The voltage change is automatic on that power supply. Plug it in 120v, it automatically changes to 120v.

It is a universal power supply meaning that it will automatically detect the correct electrical outlet voltage whether it is in Asia, the US or Europe where outlet voltages are different.

The 0/1 switch is the physical switch to turn off/on the PSU. If you leave at "0" your PC will never turn on.
