Hi!

I just installed an EVGA 9800 GX2 videocard and I am surprised to see there is no clone functionality!
Under dual-GPU mode, only one monitor is supported...

Am I missing something?

If these bad boys really don't support clone mode I will return the card asap because I really need that to run my beamer setup. Also, I will be seriously pissed off :kaola:

That is it 100%.
Dual GPU mode is essentially SLI on a stick.
As SLI does not support output to multiple monitors, neither does the GX2.
Do you plan on gaming with multiple monitors?
If not, just disable dual GPU mode while not gaming and you *should* have both working.

If that dose not work, I will trade you for my GTS 640 as bouth will work on that :D

Ok thanks man.

So the card's definitely going back. I use the beamer for racing, but also play FPS games on my 22" LCD.
With this card, I would have to use multi-GPU mode on the beamer as standard. That would mean that, if I wanted to play Crysis, I'd first have to power on the beamer to set the output back to the LCD.
This is very annoying. It is also not mentioned in any review I read.

Oh boy, what a joke!
There simply is no clone mode, not even in multi-display mode!

I thought I'd found a workaround using some fancy nView tricks BUT...
If you enable more than one monitor and then want to return to multi-GPU mode you have to reboot!!!

The only option is to stay in multi-GPU mode and physically switch DVI cables...

I thought about trading the card in for a 9800GTX but it's too fast :D
