I reinstall Windows XP a lot and just recently I tried to activate it and it said my product key has reached it's activation limit.  What do i do?  It's a legal copy of Windows XP.  Sorry if this is a dumb question.

If you own the activation key just call microsoft.  You can get it activated over the phone.

Really?  Wouldn't they tell me the same thing?  I guess I call and activate.  I'll let you know if it worked.

You might be able to, but not infinately.  They will at some point be crude and treat you like a pirate, just the way it is.  Microsoft's greed has gotten the best of them, they will screw rightful paid customers if it means foiling a single pirate.

Pretty sad for a company that makes billions if you ask me.

Yeah in most case i've found they ask for the number on the XP installation disk. doesn't help if you bought it per installed.
