Learning Over Clocking

So i just got done building my new computer and im feeling all bad ass and stuff lol.And i'm always hearing about over clocking and im always reading articles and trying to learn and understand it and cant really seem to find any good refrences.Like i know what it is and what its used for but like how do i calulate stuff like timings,voltage,etc.So if you know of any good books,articles,videos,anything send them to me. Im leaning more towards OCing my q6600 2.4Ghz Intl Cpu.Also since you people are so nice if you know any good Stuff to help me learn all the inside parts of a computer that would be nice to not the basic like cpu,ram,hdd,gfx,heatsink,etc.Stuff like that i mean like what they do in advanced terms and other stuff.

Google something like "q6600 overclocking guide". Then google something like "<motherboard brand name><motherboard model> overclocking guide" - for example "gigabyte ep35-ds3p overclocking guide".

Try to get to the point where you have a pretty good idea of what is going on. You do not need to know everything, but you should know enough that you are not just blindly cookbooking. When you get puzzled (you will, oh yes, you will), ask. There's a lot of help here, but we expect you to do your own homework.
