I recently had a discussion with someone about some of today's motherboards having two nics built into them. I know that in Windows XP you can bridge the network connection so one network segment can talk to another.
What we had questions about was that one of us read somewhere you can configure one of the nics to only receive and the other one to only send while both are connected to the same subnet. The theory is you get better throughput for this configuration.
I didn't really find much from my google searches.
Is this possible? Are people doing this?
