Hello all,

I have a P35-DS3R rev 1.0 mobo still in the box and just ordered an E8400 for it.

Will it boot with the E8400 in it so I can update BIOS?

Most reports i have heard with the Gigabyte P35's is that they post with "unknown CPU" error but can continue to BIOS for updating

Awesome, thanks! I was hoping I wouldn't have to install my E6300 first, then update BIOS.

Can't wait to give it a shot tonight. UPS should be delivering my stuff today.
