Dear all

I have been using the onboard Raid 0 feature come with the Asus Formula Striker II motherboard. The motherboard was malfunctioning and I just received a replacement from the manufacturer.

The problem is: the Riad 0 array seems to be broken. The system seems not be able to read the array (i got the NTLR missing thingy at boot, meaning no OS found?)

I'm guessing this is because I forgot which SATA port were those 2 hard disks connected to. (There are 6 SATA ports on board).

So my question is should i just keep trying switching ports until i get a match, or is there any other way to look into this problem?

thanks

You'll have to try rebuilding the RAID array. And I don't think you should switching ports, as SATA ports are designed to be interchangeable.

And yes, the NTLR missing means the computer wasn't able to find your OS.

thanks this problem has now been solved.

looks like the onboard raid is smart enough to recognize the disks all the way - I just forgot to set the RAID as first boot device !! (HOW DUMB!)

many thanks anyway.

I was going to mention turning on RAID in the BIOS...good thing that was the problem lol. Could have been worse!
