I need to upgrade an older computer and find that ATA 66/33 is pretty much obsolete now they have them in the 100s+. Will these hard drives be compatible; simply limited by the transfer rates?

the interface will be compatible however the computers might not work with a hard drive over like... 40gig

computers that old are pretty much done...not upgradeable.. not worth it etc... maybe buy a used hdd from a computer repair store.
