Which of the following HDDs are single platter?

Does single platter drive use much less power and generate much less heat?
Which is more important to the performance, cache or single platter? Thanks.

Only the ST3500418AS is single platter, designated by the bold number. That means ST31000528AS is two platter.

WD1001FALS (Caviar Black) is 3 platter. Not sure about the other two Caviar Green drives you listed.
You can check out this review for all current 1TB, their specs. and real-world speed.

EACS is 4 platter, EADS is 3 platter.
