Wtf is this a joke? $117,928 for a computer... Be real, even if this for work it's still not worth it.

Edit: Why is this called a "budget build"? Must definitely be a joke. Not funny.

thanks level, and to maroc.... its a very very large budget and I'm not paying

Redundancy check anyone? Seriously $117,928? I want to know why you are spending $200 on just keyboards and $4600 each for monitors. Can't you just settle for regular monitors?

I've never built a server, but it seems like you can trim a couple thousand or more off the price by going through and getting rid of all the stuff you don't need.

Who is paying BTW?

Nice. Those server parts are amazingly expensive.
April 18, 2008 2:47:32 AM

why on earth do you need to spend so much?

you realise, of course, that in 9 or so months, all that cash would have been wasted, right?

Wrong. As soon as he clicks the "buy" button all that money is wasted. Paying that much for a computer is pointless whichever way you look at it. Why not go buy yourself a nice car and go pick up some pussy? :sol:

3rd on pussy man.. there is alot of cost you can cut in there without losing perfomance.... think and research before you push that button
April 18, 2008 3:49:36 AM

well, like i said, im not paying. im not even sure this will be the final piece. all up to the buyer
April 18, 2008 3:55:43 AM

WTH IS THIS FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

16 GIGS OF RAM....i mean seriously!!!!!!
And a 2000 Watt PSU that wont even fit in the case.
I mean common...get some pussy and a Nissan GT-R on top of that
April 18, 2008 4:08:27 AM

its a shame you didn't see that its actually 128 GIGS of RAM
April 18, 2008 4:12:34 AM

so please enlighten us precisely why you'd need 128 gigs of ram... you realise that's the upper limit of Vista x64, right?
April 18, 2008 4:15:13 AM

well, its going to act as a server for a gaming LAN consisting of wii's, 360's, ps3's, and computers
April 18, 2008 4:15:50 AM

forgot the cad and movie encoding that will be going on
April 18, 2008 12:12:37 PM

2kw PSU is not required for that setup tbh... waaaay overkill and remember that you are using more power when using less than the peak efficiency rating ( about 75-85% ) a 600 with 4 12v rails and good amps on them...

I found a 40" monitor much cheaper than your 30" so you will get a bigger screen while paying 1/3 ( roughly) the cost..
